ARPE: Pre-doctoral Research Year Abroad
Students interested in pursuing a career as a researcher or faculty member have the opportunity to complete a 10-month internship in a laboratory located abroad. In exceptional cases, the program may be divided into two 5-month internships.
This internship often takes place before the M2 year (see program outline), allowing students to gain familiarity with laboratory work, develop adaptability, and, of course, master a foreign language—all of which are essential qualities for working in a research laboratory.
